Grow in Gratitude
“It is right to give God thanks and praise”
Through worship and praise, we give thanks for what really matters: the
love, hope, and faith in our lives. It can be easy to forget our blessings. Gathering
together to give God thanks helps us center ourselves and celebrate life.
Our worship spaces are full of music and art, thoughts and feelings, and people
better and worse off than each of us. In times when we bring our pain to God,
we can be grateful that we can bring it honestly and find comfort in God and our
church community. COME AND RECEIVE God’s love and ask how you can help love grow
all around.
Go To really get a feel for gratitude and worship, go visit a church… or three!
You will quickly begin to recognize common elements in Episcopal worship and see
that each community has its own atmosphere. You might feel a sense of peace,
awe, and the presence of God in one place especially. So go there again,
and again. And watch your gratitude grow.
Millennium Development Goals
The MDGs represent a global partnership that has grown from the
commitments and targets established at the world summits of the 1990s. Responding to the world's
main development challenges and to the calls of civil society, the MDGs promote poverty reduction,
education, maternal health, gender equality, and aim at combating child mortality,
AIDS and other diseases.
