Grow in Understanding
“Enlighten those who teach and learn, rejoicing in the knowledge of your truth”
We may not have all the answers, but we welcome all your questions. That’s because
we believe we all have something more to learn from one another – and always
more to learn about ourselves, our world, and God. The Episcopal Church does not
ask you to check your mind at the door. Our ability to reason is a gift from God.
Come and grow in understanding through silent meditation or group discussion. COME
AND LEARN more about two thousand years of church history. Come and learn every
day to better understand God’s presence in our lives.
Go! Christian Education, for both adults and children, is present in most
congregations. Bible studies and Sunday schools are typical, but congregations may
also offer reading groups, meditation, writing workshops, lecture series,
and many other learning opportunities… go to a church near you to find
out what it’s all about.
Millennium Development Goals
The MDGs represent a global partnership that has grown from the
commitments and targets established at the world summits of the 1990s. Responding to the world's
main development challenges and to the calls of civil society, the MDGs promote poverty reduction,
education, maternal health, gender equality, and aim at combating child mortality,
AIDS and other diseases.
