Doing Mission and Ministry Together
A second meeting engaging the churches of the Southeast Region of the Omaha area is on the calendar, but has not yet been confirmed. The churches engaged in this conversation are Holy Spirit, Bellevue, St. Martha's, Papillion, St. Martin's, South Omaha, St. Andrew's, Omaha, and Trinity Cathedral, Omaha. The meetings are being convened by Canon Judi Yeates from the Diocesan Office. The first meeting, held August 6th, brought together about 30 persons from the participating churches. It was a most significant beginning for giving thought to ways in which we can do mission and ministry together. The program for our youth, Journey to Adulthood, is a direct result of this first meeting. More is to come as we explore together, what we can do together.

Millennium Development Goals
The MDGs represent a global partnership that has grown from the
commitments and targets established at the world summits of the 1990s. Responding to the world's
main development challenges and to the calls of civil society, the MDGs promote poverty reduction,
education, maternal health, gender equality, and aim at combating child mortality,
AIDS and other diseases.
